# Sessions list

> Search, filter, sort, and organize recorded sessions into projects with short session keys.

Open **Sessions** from the sidebar to see every session recorded in your organization. The newest session opens automatically next to the list.

## Browse the list

The list shows 12 sessions per page. Use **Previous** and **Next** at the bottom to page through older sessions; the footer shows which sessions you're seeing and the page number.

Each card shows the session's title, project key, tags, and when it was recorded. Hover a card and choose **Rename session** (the pencil) to give it a clearer title. Tags are set by the extension and are read-only in the console.

Sessions created for you as examples are marked **Sample session**.

## Search

The search box above the list matches on:

| Field | What matches |
| - | - |
| Title | The title you gave the session, or the page title it was recorded on |
| URL | The page URL |
| Tag | Any tag on the session |
| Project | The project name or its three-letter prefix |
| Person | The recorder's email address |
| Session key | Type a key such as `PUG-134` to jump straight to that session |

Every word you type must match, and Puggy uses up to five words. Matching text is highlighted in the results, and the list shows how many sessions matched.

> [!TIP]
>
> Press **/** anywhere on the page to jump to the search box. Press **Esc** once to clear it and again to leave the box.

Search covers session details, not the contents of logs. To search inside one session's console output or network requests, use the filters on its [Console and Network tabs](https://docs.puggy.dev/console/session-details.md#detail-tabs).

## Filter and sort

Open the filter menu next to the search box:

| Filter | Options |
| - | - |
| **Recorded** | Any time, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days |
| **Length** | Any, Under 30s, 30s–2 min, Over 2 min |
| **Only sessions with a video** | Hides screenshot-only sessions |
| **Sort** | Newest, Oldest, Longest, Shortest |

A badge shows how many filters are active, and **Reset filters** clears them. Filters and search are kept in the page URL, so you can send a filtered view to a teammate.

To see one project's sessions, pick it under **Filter by project** in the list header. See [Filter the list by project](https://docs.puggy.dev/console/projects.md#filter-the-list-by-project).

## Projects and session keys

Group sessions into projects so each one gets a short key such as `PUG-134`. Assign, move, and create projects from the project selector on a session, and filter the list with the project dropdown in the list header. See [Projects and session keys](https://docs.puggy.dev/console/projects.md).
